Sculptra is a synthetic, injectable facial filler made from biocompatible material known as poly-L-lactic acid that naturally stimulates the body to produce its own collagen.
Sculptra works progressively, gradually lifting and firming up the skin in select depressed areas.
The dermal filler, Sculptra, slowly improves the skin’s thickness over time by gradually and subtly correcting facial abnormalities.

SCULPTRA FAQs
HOW IS SCULPTRA PERFORMED?
Dr. Freund expertly injects Sculptra filler into selected areas of your face that have lost volume and formed a crease or a line. During the treatment, the dermal filler Sculptra is injected into pre-determined areas often mapped out on the face. Topical anesthetic may be used, depending on the sensitivity or depth of the targeted site. There is a slight sting upon injection but there is very little discomfort afterward. After Sculptra injections, it is common to gently massage the treated area to ensure an even distribution of Sculptra beneath your skin. Dermal filler treatments can take just minutes per area to perform and are nearly pain free. They are done with a very fine needle that minimizes the discomfort of the injection.
HOW LONG DOES SCULPTRA LAST?
Sculptra filler does not require any downtime, and you will begin to see the positive effects of Sculptra injections gradually over time, avoiding a sudden change in your appearance. Depending on your goals, recommend a series of three to six treatments is recommended, spaced evenly over three to six weeks to achieve the best possible results. Your treated areas should look fuller and maintain their improved appearance for up to two years.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Side effects of a Sculptra procedure are minimal, other than short-term swelling and redness.
SCULPTRA IN DEPTH
by Bruce Freund, D.D.S.
Sculptra can improve facial aging, smoothing the nasolabial lines that extend down from the nose, the marionette lines beside the mouth and sunken cheeks, erasing years of wrinkles and improving the appearance of your skin.
During the Sculptra procedure, a patient is numbed with topical numbing cream and given a series of injections in the desired area.
Sculptra, works by both filling in lines and wrinkles and by stimulating the body to produce new collagen and underlying tissue, thereby creating a fuller, more youthful appearance.
Sculptra injections are a discreet, long lasting nonsurgical solution designed to restore lost volume in depressed areas such as skin creases, facial wrinkles, and folds resulting from facial fat loss and natural aging.
Sculptra achieves excellent results in treating all parts of the face including the areas around the eyes and lips, between the mouth and nose, cheeks and neck. It adds volume to the cheeks, to folds around the chin, and to hollow areas around the eyes.
